We believe that young imaginations are free to grow wild, when they are fed by wonderful books.
Our Ethos:
Every young book-lover (and their grown-ups!) deserve to see books that are joyful, high-quality, and bursting with the love and passion that went into making them. However, because Wildflower Bay is a product of the people that make it, we recognise that not everyone has equal access to brilliant book resources. We believe that this is very wrong – especially as we know how important reading is for young, growing minds.
For every title published, we will always offer some free resources so that ALL children may get involved in the fun of our books. And as we grow, we will always have our ears open to the needs of ALL readers and we will constantly strive to do our bit in making reading fun and accessible to EVERYONE.
What we create:
Our fiction books bring you delightfully unique and original stories, that celebrate kindness, inclusivity, friendship, fun and ‘self’. We want to empower children to celebrate the fantastic, unique individuals that they are!
We are proudly independent, and we delight in being able to make daringly different books, which are not constrained by market ‘trends’ and industry expectations!
Our aim:
Above all, we want to make books that embrace all of the heart and spirit of the North East region… because Storytelling is such an integral part of the PASSIONATE people who call it ‘home’.
In celebration of the diverse communities, stunning landscapes and talented creators here, Wildflower Bay has a real and genuine ambition to shine a spotlight on a region that is too often overlooked.
Our pledge:
Creating books is our ‘joy’, but the two most important things to us in our day-to-day operations are PEOPLE and the ENVIRONMENT.
We will always operate to support and collaborate with businesses here in the UK, on a personal level (part of the fun in our work actually comes from being able to talk to our collaborators throughout the book production process!)
Our titles embrace this philosophy, as well as using a printing method which we are VERY proud to say really do minimise our carbon footprint. Follow our socials to find out more about how we do it!
